After a week of light pre-baiting I decided to give it a go, the temperatures were not grate but I just had to get out of the house. It was about twelve thirty when I had my gear set up.
At this time of year you can give your swingers a few inches of slack line not too much because some of the takes you will get are like line bites the only difference is the line will stay tight instead of dropping back to where you had set it.
With my pva bag settled I would put about ten boilies over each rod that the same amount that I put out when I am lightly pre-baiting, I will do this over six or seven different spots each night before I go fishing, I learnt this from Sidney and it works a treat.
In the four hour sessions I landed two carp the biggest was 8lb both fish caught on krill. I lost a few traces as well, there are a lot of snags around the island the only reason I fished hear was it was sheltered from the wind.
Size six wide gape hooks on 8in of snakebite added to a two and a half ounce lead and most important a krill pop up. Hope the weather gets better soon, so I can share more of my fishing tips.
