Hi my name is Adam Barrett I was asked to do a short piece on Carp fishing on the lough in Cork.
I have fished the lough for over five years now and found at certain times of the year the Carp change their feeding habits. I found that in the winter months I have caught a lot of Carp on low oil baits like coarse pellets, sweet corn, maggots & XS that made by sticky baits. The last few fish I caught were on sticky baits boilies this bait have worked right through the year for me in all types of weather conditions. The weather has been so bad for the last few months that I could not get out for a cast. I have just purchased a shelter for when it is raining, if only the winds would calm down. I am so looking forward to my next session and landing my first Carp of the year, now I know what Golum felt like.
I am now starting to lightly pre-bait with low oils baits
I will let you know if I catch any carp and how, were and what I caught them on. Tight lines
